![]() ![]() We’ve usually been middle of the pack in goals scored tho, but that’s also been on smaller maybe 6圆ft goals. Typically we’re one of the better defensive teams and are always top 3 in fewest goals allowed. Which is why I’m leaning to the 2-3-1 so there’s essentially 4 players up top with the backs and keeper also getting in on the action up top as well. ![]() I thought about the 3-2-1 as well but honestly with the guys we have we’d be very solid in the back with just 2 defenders, and my thinking was that we’d need more assistance up top rather than in the back. It was a small pitch so responsibilities were fairly shared and simple. In the 6 a side division we were playing a 2-1-2 with both backs essentially playing like CB/wingback hybrids, a CDM, and then two wing midfielders. the centre forward would be “9”, the central defenders would be 2 and 6, and so on. For example, where I live they use to name the positions by numbers, e.g. I am using terms that I think are the most descriptive for each position, because I know in different countries/regions the positions are named differently. PD: Please excuse me if I am naming the field positions incorrectly. In this scheme, the two side players of the defense should be able to project themselves along their side and reach attacking positions I would choose for that position players who can go back and forth.įor the two midfielders, I would have a creative, offensive one in charge of the creation, and a more defensive, or at least someone who is good at recovering the ball (the classical “defensive midfielder”).Īnd, as the forward, I would have a player who can act as a striking centreforward. However, what do you think of 3-2-1? Instead of having three midfielders you have three defenders to have more solidity in the last line. It is one of the most balanced formations for a 7-person team. Now, going to your particular matter, I agree with the 2-3-1 formation. As a first question, in your 6-player team, which is the formation you are currently using? Which types of players act in each position? ![]()
